Terms of Service
Last updated
These are the rules for using GetGarage. By booking through this site, you agree to them. They are short on purpose.
What GetGarage does, and does not do
GetGarage lists independent garages and lets you book an appointment with one. That is the whole of our role. We are an introduction and a booking system.
The garage does the work, and the garage is responsible for it. That includes the quality of the repair, the price they charge, the times they say they are available, and anything they tell you about your vehicle. We are not a party to that work and we do not supervise it. If something goes wrong with a repair, it is between you and the shop — though we would like to hear about it, because it tells us who should stay listed.
You pay the shop, not us
GetGarage handles no money. There is no booking fee, no deposit, and no card required. You pay the garage directly when the work is done, on whatever terms they set. Prices shown on this site come from the shop, and a shop can be wrong — treat a listed price as what they expect to charge, not a binding quote.
Changing or cancelling
You can change or cancel free up to 2 hours before your appointment, using the link in your confirmation message. Inside that window, contact the shop directly — their phone number is in the same message.
Shops can cancel too. Garages are small businesses and things happen: a lift breaks, someone calls in sick. If a shop cancels on you, we will tell you as soon as they tell us.
Your booking link is a key
The link we send you — the one ending in a long code — is what proves a booking is yours. Anyone who has that link can view, change or cancel that booking. There is no password on it, which is what makes it convenient. Do not forward it to anyone you would not trust to cancel your appointment.
Using the site properly
Do not:
- Make bookings you have no intention of keeping
- Book on someone else's behalf without telling them
- Scrape the site, or copy listings to republish elsewhere
- Try to reach parts of the site that are not yours — other people's bookings, other shops' dashboards
We can remove a listing or block a booking if any of this happens. Repeated no-shows are the fastest way to lose access.
If you list a garage
You are responsible for what you publish: your prices, hours, services and address must be accurate, and you must be able to honour the appointments your listing accepts. You must have the right to represent the business you list. Keeping a listing up while ignoring the bookings it takes is worse for a driver than not being listed at all, and we will unlist for it.
No warranty
The site is provided as it is. We do not promise it will always be available, that every listed price or time slot is correct, or that a shop will meet your expectations. To the extent the law allows, GetGarage is not liable for loss arising from the site or from work done by a shop you found through it. Nothing here removes rights you have under British Columbia consumer protection law, which you keep regardless of what this page says.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada.
